Gary founded Farr Johnen & Associates in 1985 alongside his son, Glen, establishing a firm rooted in integrity, client service, and community commitment. After decades of serving individuals, families, and businesses with trusted insurance guidance, Gary officially retired at the age of 90, leaving behind a lasting legacy of service and leadership.

Over the course of his distinguished career, Gary earned recognition as a qualifying and life member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an achievement that reflects his long-standing dedication to excellence in the insurance profession. A full-time resident of Ventura County since the firm’s founding, Gary built enduring relationships with clients and professional advisors alike—helping to shape the values, standards, and reputation that continue to guide the firm today.

Gary remains actively engaged in the community he loves and is enjoying a well-earned retirement in Ojai with his wife, Brenda.
